The Manchester Derby brings a lot of excitement and as usual there has been plenty of preparation and talking as usual. Both teams have been asked to keep the celebrations to a minimum to reduce a repeat of what happened the last time the two teams met in the Carling Cup and as much as I hate that its probably for the best. Security at the Eastlands will be at an all time high as well.
The Facts:
United haven't being playing anything like they generally do and seem to struggling for some decent form since their exit from the Champions League. The loss to chelsea didn't help and the team looked awful in the final third against Blackburn. The upsetting thing is that without Rooney there doesn't seem to be much quality and that special spark in the final third which is unacceptable for a team with quality players like United. Luckily as far i as know Rooney is available and Rio and Giggsy might be too. United have a lot riding at stake and hopefully that will motivate them to pull out a great performance out of the bag.
One the other hand City have enjoyed a nice run of form and Tevez is in great form. I just want to put it out there that my feelings torward Tevez are...well, negative. They are off a 3 game winning run and thumped Birmingham City last weekend with Tevez getting 2 that took him to 32 for the season.
United are gonna have it tough but i still think they have it in them to take the game to city and get a decent result. I haven't been the best with predictions but the pitcher of beer i won last weekend proves that theory wrong. Anyway I think United will win it 3-1
Yes, as a United fan, I'm predicting the same score line. But that's my heart talking not my mind. FIngers crossed!! GLORY!
